Add a regional language

Applaud supports auto-translation of languages available in the ISO-639-1 standard. See: https://support.applaudsolutions.com/hc/en-us/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=language

This covers a lot, but it doesn't include, for example, Brazilian Portuguese, Canadian French or South American Spanish. Whilst these aren't officially recognised languages, yet, organizations with significant user populations in these locations may prefer to use more common regional translations to the more global versions used in ISO-639-1.

The ability to add an additional regional language would still auto-translate using the 'baseline' language. However, any translation into that regional language would need to be done manually. This creates an ongoing manual translation burden, but this can be reduced by choosing to only regionalize select high-profile content rather than everything. This 'override by exception' approach means you can deliver a balance between regionalized language and back-end efficiency.
